Got the “fried” on the left from Amazon, loved it, needed more and bought the “spicy” on the right from Target and it’s like, completely different.

I very much prefer the “fried” – it’s saltier and just a better flavor all-around.

It says they are different on the packaging

See, I’m the total opposite. I love the fried onion flavor from the spicy chili crisp, and the fermented soybeans.

The fried chili in oil is good, but I much prefer the other.

Appreciate the heads-up. Was about to add chili crisp to my spice cabinet. Fried it is!

  4. The one on the left has peanuts fried in it and the one of the right has fried fermented soy beans. I much prefer the one on the right.

Why would something with two different names be the same?

  8. ZorroMcChucknorris

My gf got sold the 0% which isn’t either one of these and not as good.

    “Same Laoganma, different great taste”

I’m curious why you thought two different products would be the same

I was highly disappointed with the chili flakes 🙁

bro they make like 8 different kinds that come in the same jar and almost the same labeling.

Saltier than the chilli crisp? That stuff is super salty.

Correct says it right there on the jar

I had a similar situation recently. I was out of ketchup so I went and grabbed a bottle of Hienz like I usually get, but this bottle said “mustard” on it. Not good on French fries at all.

The spicy chili crisp is clearly the better one

When my wife asks which one she should buy I always tell her the one with the disapproving Asian mother.

I accidentally got the fermented soybean in chili oil the other day.
I did not know what I was tasting and it really threw me off lol
Pawned it off on my brother

Everything’s got to be called “chili crisp” these days. Just bought some to replace an empty jar—same product, ingredients, even UPC, except now called “chili crisp”…

That’s weird, since the Spicy Chili Crisp has about 380mg more sodium/serving. I say just enjoy the fried and less sodium. I love the “fried” and have used the less sodium argument against my wife, so I love that shit. I put a bit into stuff I’m going to heat up at work and it works wonders. I love the fried!

  22. I find the “spicy” has garlic and the other not.
